The Visiting Nurse Association of Erie County, a partnership of LECOM Health and Allegheny Health Network, is a non-profit community agency that has been providing home health and hospice services to the Erie Community since 1906.
This year, the VNA celebrated its 17th annual memorial butterfly release, titled Wings of Hope. The event included the release of hundreds of butterflies and a non-denominational service of remembrance for loved ones of those in attendance.
All donations made from Wings of Hope helped support Erie VNA hospice services in a variety of ways, such as supporting terminally ill and their families, providing assistance to those who have inadequate or no health insurance, and training volunteers who offer companionship and comfort.
