About the LECOM Institute for Successful Aging

With Erie County’s senior population now approaching one out of four residents, LECOM Health is committed to wellness for this growing age group. LECOM Health offers a full continuum of care from Independent Living and Personal Care apartments to Skilled Nursing Care and Outpatient services including In-Home Care, Home Health, and Hospice under the direction of the LECOM Institute for Successful Aging.

The Visiting Nurse Association of Erie County, a part of the LECOM Institute for Successful Aging, is accepting applications for a Full Time EVENING/WEEKEND Hospice LPN to assist in planning, coordinating and providing hospice care in accordance with the patient’s plan of care.

*The schedule for this position will be Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 8am to 8pm.*

**$3,000 to $9,000 Sign on bonus for Full Time Hospice Licensed Practical Nurses with opportunity to earn up to $60K in additional bonuses over the next 5 years!**

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education and experience equivalent to:

  • Must be a graduate from an accredited School of Nursing.
  • Must be licensed in the State as a Practical Nurse (LPN).
  • One year of LPN experience. Hospice experience preferred.
  • Must have excellent assessment skills and problem solving skills.
  • Should be skillful in organization and in the principles of time management and have knowledge of case management processes.
  • Must be a licensed driver with an insured automobile in good working order.
  • The ability to communicate well, both verbally and in writing.

TUITION REIMBURSEMENT:

The RN and LPN Tuition Reimbursement Program was created to assist LECOM Health employees by offsetting a portion of their educational expenses. Registered Nurses or Licensed Practical Nurses may be eligible for tuition reimbursement up to a maximum of $22,000.*
